Visions or longings are signposts for goals we have in life – and, no less valid, so are irritation or anger. Such feelings are indicators that we want for something to stop, change, or to come into being.
A well-defined goal is aligned with our inner values and aspirations. It increases our confidence in our own line of actions. Goal clarity can powerfully turn hopes and changing circumstances into personal growth. Sometimes, such clarity is hard to come by.
There are different reasons why clarity is difficult to obtain. Often, on a deeper level, we find competing priorities– third party values and goals, or competing messages. We may have received these from others or imposed them upon ourselves. We start to struggle when our growing sense of self aims at something which is in conflict with these old priorities and messages.
